Hi my names Michelle, im 19, from the UK, ive never been on a forum before, but i thought id give it a shot!

I havent always been big, about 3 years ago i weighed 140lbs which was ok for my height (5ft10), ive always eaten alot and loved my food, and its caught up with me now, probably because i sit in an office for 8hours a day. im pretty much stationary for 24 hours haha!

I currently weigh 245lbs and im disgusted with myself, ive been on every diet going, and now i just need to do things properly.

Im just here for some support and help???

ps:(sorry about the awful spelling and punctuation, im a bit rusty haha)!

Hey Michelle, welcome to the forum. This is the first forum I've ever joined and I love it! People here are so helpful and supportive it's awesome. Many people would suggest starting a diary, I myself find it very helpful in keeping me accountable and also in receiving support from others.

One thing we have in common is the love of food! I've been on diets myself and they don't work. The thing I realized was that I had to change my eating habits (eating healthier, smaller portions, eating 5-6 small meals a day, etc) and I had to change it for good. Most people think of diets as temporary, but for losing weight and keeping it off it needs to be a lifestyle change which is what I finally convinced myself to do.

Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Hi Shelly,
Welcome to the WLF!

Sometimes it's really overwhelming when you get on the scale and see you have over 100 pounds to lose - but just know that each one of those come off the same way - one pound at a time!

You CAN do this!
