Hi everyone. I am a 30 yr old female. I work a full time job and am a full-time student. I am not overwight, but I think I may have an eating disorder. I try to eat healthy, but I often find myself binge eating. I say to myself "I will just have one," but end up eating the whole thing. I eat it (usually ice cream, chocolate, chips...) until I feel like I'm going to get sick (although I never do). I have never purged, but often think about it. I hate being in this cycle, and if anyone could offer me any advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome Buddybear- There has been times that I have binged on food (but I don't know why) only to find myself regretting it afterwards and yes, I have purged. It was disgusting to say the least. I only did it for a short time but stopped completely on my own- not everyone can do that. I can't say wether you do or do not have a disorder since I'm not a professional, but I do know that this is not the answer. You should try the diary section. Here you will find lots of people (perhaps some who are pros) who have been in similar situations and can provide you support. Also it help to write your feelings down...it might help you discover why you binge. There is also tons of info on this site that can help you build a healthier you. Good luck and I will keep a lookout for more of your posting to see how you are doing.

Buddybear,
I tried to edit my post but it won't work for some reason. Anyway, I wanted to say that you should think about talking to your doctor. Now is the time to stop a problem before it becomes one. Good luck.
