Hey Everyone. I'm new to the forum and I am excited to be able to finally have someone to talk to who has had the same battles as I have. Sometimes husbands just don't understand enough.

Welcome from another newb!

I hear ya. My husband is less than 10 lbs heavier than he was 35 years ago, and he eats as much as he wants, of anything he wants, as often/whenever he wants. Life just isn't fair, is it?!!

Hi from yet another Newbie...with a slim, never gaining weight husband. Who eats and eats and eats...really his body has not changed in 12 years...wish i could say the same!

Hi and welcome to the WLF :)

I had to go and lose over 20 pounds before my husband even took notice - I tell ya...grrugrumble... ;)

Good luck to you as you head to your goals!

Well, as for the husband gaining... He has gained about 40 lbs since we met. I guess it's my cooking. He tends to eat about twice as much as me... The only thing is he can lose it within a month. Guys have all the luck with the metabolism.

Hi Welcome, Im wishing you luck on your journey and your ticker is down 2 lbs already, that is awesome!!! I love your siggy!!!

Sorry I haven't kept everyone up to speed, been real busy at work. I went out and bought a trainer for my bike on Sunday so I can get some exercise inside with it being cold and rainy outside. Lost a few more pounds, yippee. Other than that, nothing new. Oh yeah, I got a promotion at work (someone noticed all the hard work) which raised me into another payscale. I'm quickly moving up that ladder and hopefully will be able to retire the husband when we have kids so he can stay home with them most of the time if not all. Talk to you again soon.

Good luck. I know it's hard for me to stay on track (since my husband is not dieting). I am lucky though that he does like to eat healthy, so it's not so bad. Also, he is an avid cyclist, so I have an excercise routine going. Although right now, my rear hurts from the bike seat. I am slowly working my way up to longer times on the bike... Just remember, it's a long term thing and not a quick fix. My goal is to lose 1 lb a week. If I lose more, that's great. That way, I do have more of a chance of keeping it off.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm a husband that DEFINITELY has gained more than 10 pounds.

My wife is somewhat supporting, but because she doesn't know what it's like to be in this situation, it's hard for her to relate, so I understand where you're coming from. These boards are a great motivational tool, and the people here are amazing. Stick around, and you'll hit your goals for sure!

Welcome to the club!! Im not a husband, and most of my friends are on the same journey, so I actually do have a lot of support.

I work in an italian restaurant, one that my family owns, therefore i can eat whatever, whenever for free... so I do have my challanges too :p
