Hello, I suppose I'm a bit nervous posting here which is why I've had the window with this post in it open for around 20 minutes now, I've never really asked for help with losing weight. I was browsing the internet trying to find out how to lose 100 pounds, and came across this site. I'm 6' 2", and weigh about 320 pounds. I want to drop down to around 225. I lift weights often and sometimes do sit-upts and push-ups, But don't really run. I know losing 100 pounds will take time, But hope to be down to around 280 or 290 by my birthday in January.

I am not that familiar with the forum, but assure you that it's a great 'push up' for people like you and me..
I wana lose 22 pounds.. and hope to do so in a month hopefully.

Have you tried dieting? and exercising? go for cardio exercices.. and follow a high-protein diet banning all carbohydrates.. exchange sugar for Splenda (I do that) and most of all, have almos 5 meals a day (small ones)
The secreat is to sweat! yes, do exercice 5-6 days a week.. this is the key success to losing those horrible pounds..

Welcome to the forum :) I'm new here too.. your goal sounds like you'll have to be pretty focused--- we're here to encourage you! :) I'm trying to lose at least 15 pounds by christmas...
 
Welcome. :) There's no need to feel nervous about posting here, everyone is really helpful and friendly. And we are all in the same boat!!

30 or 40lb by January is a big acheivement but should be posible if you stick with it. You've got a good attitude thinking long term and realising that this will take time and effort.

I'm sure you'll do great, just don't be put off if you do slip up -it happens to us all now and again! :)

Make sure you post any questions you have and everyone will do their best to help you out.
 
Thanks. :) I want to lose some weight by January because I want to get a tattoo on my bicep, But I don't want it to look stupid if I lose some weight which is why I've been lifting weights, I want to replace the fat in my arm with muscle so that even if I do end up getting it before I reach my goal, It will still look nice.
