My name is Kristy and I am a 39, almost 40 (October) single mother. I have one daughter who is almost 13, she was born on Christmas Day. I have struggled with weight my entire adult life, after my dad passed away several years ago I put on 40 lbs before I could blink. AND unfortunately I needed a total hip replacement and with depression I started trying to lose weight. I tried several over the counter diet pills to no avail! I ruined my metabolism when I was younger because when I wanted to lose weight I would just quite eating. After the age of 30, I'm sure you guys already know, it's not east at all to lose weight. Plus, I couldn't exercise. Finally a year ago I had my surgury and enough is enough! I lost 30 lbs immediately and then I came to a stand still. However I've been able to keep it off and a little over 2 weeks ago I started a NEW "Challenge" In 90 days I want to lose 25 lbs, 20 inches from my waist, limit my Pepsi to 8 oz or less in a day (I am a Pepsi addict lol) and workout/train at least 3 days per week because I want to RUN! I haven't been able to run since I was a kid, because of my hip. It's a personal goal
I've joined this group to get and give encouragement. I have found it's easier when you have a "support" group for encouragement and ideas.
