Hi, I'm Justin, 23 years young. 5'7", im abour 225lbs right now, have been up to about 250-255 lbs. as of Feburary. I went on a strict diet last year, went down to about 210, but then I pleatued and was discouraged.

I have been overweight my whole adolescent life, and haven't really tried to do much about it until recently.

I used to be a hardcore gym biff, especially with weights, but my eating habits destroyed the progress I was making at the time.

A lot of people tell me I don't look fat, usually friends though. I honestly don't look THAT bad anymore, especially since I started really hitting the Total Body Gym I have at home.

According to my "pincher" I am about 29% body fat, give or take, and have about 160 lbs of lean muscle mass. MOST of my fat is in my mid section, and i have (un)love handles that restrict me from wearing any sort of form fitting shirt. my slight lower "moobs" don't help much either.

I signed up because I was really looking for pictures of people from before and after weight loss and their progress. I was specifically looking for anyone who went from 220 to maybe 180 or something of that sort. I am interested in seeing the difference in 40 lbs because in MY mind, I feel that If I lost 40 lbs, it wouldn't be THAT much of a difference. Even when I was down to 210, my lowest, I still felt somewhat heavy and still wouldn't take my shirt off at any lake or pool party.

My goal is to be very comfortable with my body, which will be hard for me. I feel like I need to have at least a 6 pack (at least if I flexed) to be happy, which shouldn't be the case, but its a good goal to set.

I want to be able to take my shirt off happily, whether it be at the pool, getting out of the shower, making love, lol anything. I just am tired of my mid section looking as ugly as it does.

I also signed up because I have hit a long plateu (2 months) of the same few lbs (between 230-225) I am trying the zig zag calorie counting method now, and am still sticking to my new lifestlye change (i want to make it a habit, so itll take at least 90 days of eating GREAT) to stick with me for life.

Thanks again for listening to my rant, I have a lot of posts I will do like this.

did you use your callipers on yourself or get someone experienced to take your measurements ? taking them yourself is not a good idea if you want reasonably accurate readings. I would suggest you start a journal in the diary section to start recording food and exercise to keep yourself accountable and to allow other forum members to get a better idea of what your doing to be able to make good suggestions.
