Hello I'm new to this forum and looking forward to learn from everybody and get some encouragement when needed and vice versa. I dieted so many times before and succeeded but like always, got too confident and let it all come back (the weight) and plus some more. The diet I had more success with was Atkins a few years back but the stopped because I started eating sugars and carbs again. Recently a gave the Paleo diet a try but I found it was even more strict than Atkins and I just couldn't do it. Right now I'm doing a combination of the Jackie Warner plan and low Carb. I love exercise so that's never been my problem but carbs and sugars I'm addicted to so the best thing for me is to stay away from them. Well there you go. That's me.

Hi! Just joined up yesterday as well like you have lost the weight before only to let it creep up again til i am now my biggest.. much easier dieting with help and support of others i have to lose about 60lbs but have joined the Feb monthly challenge and set a small goal

Hi sanlah, never tried the Atkins diet, but I loved the Atkins drink, with the old cans. But I don't care much for the new containers for the Atkins' drink, it changed the taste of the drink. I think we all gain a little weight back in the winter months, I was at 150 and now I am back to 160, I use Weight Watchers points. If I can get started back good, I will lose back down for the summer. I try to eat healthy and watch portion size. I have a small cup of ice-cream sometimes, and a plain pop tart, I just count it into my allowed 22 points and I don't count points for fruit and vegetables. Welcome to WLF, and good luck with your goals.

Hi Newme47, welcome to WLF! Yes it is much easier to diet with help and support of others. I just started back today, and started a New Weight Loss Diary. I weigh 160 and trying to get back down to 150, before Spring. I hope to see more of you both, on the WLF. Good luck to you too!

Hi AnnaGail! Thanks so much for the welcome! Already feeling more motivated after joining the forums and seeing how well everyone is doing have a big journey to do with a big butt behind lol!

Hi, I know what you mean, mind went from a size 10 to a size 12 in about three months time, lol.

Glad to have you!

Oh boy i was once a size ten years ago in my early 20s which is what i should be being 5'1! Not been able to wear a skirt or dress for years as my legs are massive and i have bingo arms self esteem is non starter... but i am on the road to change

I've struggled with weight loss ever since I turned 23. I have destroyed myself in the gym since I am an emotional eater and found out early last year I had a torn bicep tendon. I had surgery in August and the weight crept back up on me to where I was 245lbs a couple weeks ago. I dropped 15lbs and now at 230lbs. My goal in life now is to help as many people as I can achieve a healthier life but the catch is they have to want it! If you want it, send me a PM so we can get to know each other and get that mutual support going.

Hi Drenched John Akers Plan z and AnnaGail! Lovely to meet you ..

Anna thanks for you're support hoping to try and get out and about a bit more this week and step up the walking..

Sanlah hope you're doing ok?

AI have been trying, just have to stay away from sugar, its a no brainer but still so horribly hard! But once I do it everything seems easier. Now, I am confused because my weight right now is 175 lb., I'm 5'4" but my size is still 10 on everything jeans dresses etc. and the other day I was able to get into size 8 pants! which I thought was wonderful, but every other weight loss site puts me in the category of obese 1. So therefore I keep trying and trying to get to a weight where I'll be at a healthy point. Now I have some muscle because I love working out and running but I don't know if I should stop weight training in order to loose more weight or what... Confused.

SLH

Hi Sanlah, I am 5' 3" and 3/4, you must be gaining muscle, if you are wearing 8's and 10's you are not obese. I have been up to 172 before and I was never obese. But when I use to work out at the gym I would gain muscle and didn't lose too much weigh. I would not stop weight training, if you like doing it. If you are running and working out you are healthy, But back off the sweets: chips, pop, cakes, candies etc. lol
