Hello all,

I just discovered this forum so it's all still new to me, but this place looks pretty informative!

I'm hoping these forums will help inspire the right motivation in me to achieve my goals. I've been wanting to lose weight/get healthier for so long now. I've always been bigger. I remember first realizing I wanted to change when I was about 16. I'm 25 now, and I'm in the same situation, physically.

My big problem is NOT not knowing how or what I need to do. I've learned, studied, tried many things and I know what I need to do to accomplish my goals, my big problem is actually doing it. Yep. That sounds incredibly lazy of me, but I don't mind admitting it. lol

So here I go again. I think this might be my billionth 'Day 1' I've had. Let's see how it goes. :seeya:

Thanks for reading!

Hey there, welcome to WLF,

There's no universal solution, as I'm sure you well know, but taking a look at your daily routine and seeing if you can introduce exercise (simple things like walking more) or reduce the amount of snacks you eat is a great place to start and in my own experience has helped me get off on the right track- whether it's just walking a few miles a day or replacing chocolates and crisps with fruit etc. The first week or two are obviously the most difficult but with determination and will power you begin to overcome cravings pretty quickly.

Joining a site like this and acknowledging that you need to do something is a great step to take, and can really help you keep yourself accountable in ways that you didn't on any previous 'failed attempts'. Try creating your own weight loss dairy here and updating it with honest logs of what food you've eaten throughout the week or what exercise you've done- take a daily glance at the before and after section to remind yourself that what you want to do is achievable!

There's plenty of inspiration here, I hope you find some!

Hopefully you're on 'Day 3' now!? Good luck reaching your goals.

I think that most of us were the same so don't feel bad about it. Joining this forum is the best thing that I ever did to help me lose weight and not put it back on.
Start a diary in the diary section to start getting a network of online friends to help, motivate and support you.
Good luck, make this time the time that it is going to work for you :)
