Hi everyone,

I'm 22, studying to become a teacher and getting married on July 6th! I gained those Freshman 15 years ago, but I haven't got rid of them all yet. I didn't think I looked too bad, but when I saw the photos taken of when I tried on my wedding dress, I was surprised at how "thick" I looked. White dresses sure are hard to pull off!

Anyways, I'm hoping to get back to my highschool weight of 125lbs, though depending on how I look, I may stop at 130lbs. I don't want to look too skiny on my wedding day.

It sounds like losing 15lbs in 6 months would be easy, but I have a hard time sticking to a diet. I've made healthier lifestyle habits in the last year and half and I lost 5lbs that way, but I haven't got any further than that.

I think my main problem is that I eat alot, not badly, but alot. I feel like when I'm having dinner with other girls my age, they eat such tiny portions compared to me. I eat too much like a teenage guy. I think if I can control portion sizes on a regular basis and keep up going to the gym/working out at home, I can reach my goal. I want to do it slowly, so that I gain new good habits and will be able to keep the weight off long term.

Wow, sorry for such a long introduction - I love to chat!

I look forward to being involved in this forum.

sounds perfect. :) If I might suggest, starting a diary, either here or at home, is a great way to keep track of what and how much you eat. Plus, then we can look in on you and chat. :D
