Hey Everyone!

I am 23 year old physics major going to Mississippi state. I came to this forum looking for a group of people who I can relate to, and I think i found the pefect place. :D

I am 5'11" and 280 lbs. My goal is to be down to 180 - 200 by this time next year. I am a yo-yo dieter. I start a diet and I stick with it for maybe a week. I am hoping that participating in this forum might help me stay on track.

I have lost most of my weight before. I was down to 190 about four years ago. Then I meet my future wife and got comfortable with my self and stopped doing all the healthy things I should have been doing from the start.

My entire family has had a hard time with their weight. I have watched most of my family lose their lives because of their weight. It hit me this weekend on the way to the hospital to visit my grandmother, who is their because she doesn't take care of her self. I am also doing this for my future kids. I don't want my kids to grow up unhealthy. I was a chubby growing up and I know how hateful some kids can be, and I don't want that for my children.

I am just hoping to get my life back on track! :D

hello and welcome to the family!!

You can do it again!!! Just keep at it!! You have to recommit every day!

Good luck and let me know if you have any questions!

welcome to the forum - glad to have you here - sounds like you've got some great personal motivation to get yu where you want to be.

Feel free to start yourself up a diary -it's the best place to get support and it gives you a place to record youor challenges and victories.

To avoid the yoyo - don't think of what you're doing as a diet -but as a lifestyle change for the rest of your life -and relearn how to eat healthily.

good luck and have fun while you're here

Welcome, and hope you find the support and motivation you need to succeed here.

Best to you! :)
