I recently started walking and running on the treadmill. I don't really want to lose weight, but I want to get toned and lose just a couple of inches from everywhere - arms, waist, legs. I'm 5'3 and 110lbs. Here's what I've been doing 4 days a week for two weeks..
10min quick walk on the treadmill
50 squats
10min on the treadmill (walk 4mins, run 3-4mins, walk 3mins)
50 crunches
10mins on the treadmill (same as previous ^)
50 lunges
10min quick walk to cool down
(or sometimes I'll stay on the treadmill for 30 mins and walk for say 4 minutes, and run for 2minutes, walk for 7 minutes, jog for 5 minutes, ect.)
That takes about an hour and I plan to work some light weights into my routine for my arms once I find my weights (they're in a closet in the house somewhere). Also, while I'm not on a diet, I pretty much stay away from breads, cereals and sodas because they upset my stomach. What I do eat regularly is meats, vegetables, fruits and desserts (I don't go overboard tho..obviously not at 110lbs.
) I also drink a lot of water.
My question is, is my exercise routine good enough to tone up relatively quickly? When can I expect visible results? Also, I get really tired after running for only a few minutes, any tips on how to exercise to increase my endurance?
