Hello fellow travelers! I'm so excited to have found this forum. I stayed up late last night reading! I've started a diary which should be linked in my sig line but the short version is...I'm 41 and been overweight most of my life to varying degrees. Yo-yo dieter, fads, etc. except for the last 10 years or so where I just gave up and hence 269lbs. Finally got to rock bottom last May and buckled down and got to work. Due to mainly just calorie counting, I have lost about 66lbs so far. I joined a gym and started working out after I lost about 50lbs...

Good luck to all of us :)

Congratulations on your fantastic loss so far, you must feel wonderful! I'll have a little look in your diary too :)

very well done!

yes Lili

Congratulations! amazing results and you sound very positive, which is good.

How do you do it? How can you on your dailly basis calorie count all your meals everyday?

I'm not very good with following systems and i would love be able to as rigorous as you...

once more... well done.

Bene

Yay! Good work and keep us posted on your progress. Sounds like you are well on your way to goal weight! WooHoo! :)

Thank you everyone for your positive comments. Paula, I'm a FB'er, I fanned your page :) Great job to you too!

Bene, counting calories is really not that difficult. I pretty much know now what the counts are for things I eat regularly. There are so many online ways to look up calories for foods in restaurants and places to keep track of them. I have an iPhone and I know they have apps for that too so I can do it on the go. I'll have to look at them and see what looks good. It's really not that rigorous. What I need to start paying more attention to here is my ratios, protein, etc.

Hi Lisa
Thank you for your explanations, i will do some research to be more informed on this subject.
I think i am getting beating:smash: the emotional eating, i have not eaten any mini croissants or pain au chocolate for the last 4 days, and i have also controled a bit on the quantities i eat. When i work at night is the worst part, but i've discovered that if i have a good jumper and if i feel confortable and not cold i don't feel like eating so much.
Working during the night in the hotel can be tyring in a sense that when we start to feel tired, we feel cold and we look for food to confort ourselves.

i have not yet noticed any changes on my clothes, i don't have a scale to weight myself, but when i notice any changes i'll let you know.

Kisses et bon corage!
bene
