Low iron in blood

Hi Laurent,
first of all, i just want to tell you that you got to be a bit careful when having low iron in your blood. It might be a potential sign of anemia, or maybe a dietary problem. So you might want to ask a doctor for confirmation (But i am sure you are aware of that).
anyway, from what i know, you want to consider food like livers (pork, chicken, or beef) or oysters, mussels, shrimps, sardines... that are excellent for bringing you more iron
As fruits, you right about grapes, but oranges, cantaloupes and strawberries are excellent as well
And beans and lentils are probably the best vegetables containing iron

I have problem of constipation n piles too..
it might be the reason i m not losing my weight instead of strict and healthy diet plan.? and exercising??
what should i include in my diet coz of this disease.
 
I'm in the same case as Princy, every morning I'm constipated, however I'm still losing weight. Maybe is there something to include in my diet so I don't get constipated?

People can suffer with constipation if they are not drinking enough water. I try to shoot for 1 ounce water for every 2 pounds that we weigh which is the recommendation from one of the authorities...

People can also suffer from constipation if they are countering their water consumption with a diuretic like caffeine. Water is generally better than tea or coffee because of the caffeine content.

Fibre plays a big part too. Count your fibre and make sure that you are having enough. Count how much fibre is in your diet using one of the tools - I use www.fitday.com.

ok great hope to see what you have instore for all us. Im new here too. have you ever heard of The plant moringa and neem. Two of the greatest plants i tell you.
 
@Princy & @Benny : I am not sure about what the causes of constipation are, but i do know that constipation has nothing to do with weight loss.
But actually my wife have constipation occasionally and she simply eat fruits like apples or clementines (and it seems to work well for her) - hope that helps..
 
hello.. Yesterday i Checked my thyroid.. and its 237.. which is quite high.
now what kinda foods i should take?
I m veggetarian.. n want to lose wieght :?? :(
 
Hi Princy, sorry for the delay.. Well when having a high thyroid (hyperthyroid), you might want to eat food called "Goitrogenic" (Goitrogenic food actually acts like an antithyroid and can make the thyroid a bit underactive. Food like : Broccoli, Pine nuts, Brussels sprouts, Red Radish, Peaches, Cabbage, Mustard, Strawberries, Peanuts, Radishes, Spinach, among others.. are known to be goitrogenic (you can find a complete list by searching "goitrogenic food" on the internet)
Now i cannot really help you on what kind of medicine or treatment you should take when having a high thyroid problem as it's more a medical problem - thks
