Hello-Hopefully my life will make a change today

Hi, I'm 21 years old male, 5'10 weighing 250lbs

I've been living a pretty bad lifestyle with a lot of late night outing with friends to eat snacks, skipping breakfast and eating unnecessarily big portions, also a frequent visitor of fast food chains. I've been fat for all my life, ever since i stopped growing at 17 I've been gaining consistently 15lbs a year until now...strange that even though all my friends make fun of me and i often feel bad about my appearance especially when shopping, it never struck me as hard as it did last night when my grandmother called me (she is 75) and begged me to lose weight, she said her only wish before she dies was to see her only grand son come and visit her in China with a healthy body. so i have about 10 month before i go back and visit her and it will start today.

I've started counting up my calories today, and I've resumed gym pass, and for sure stopping the fast food and other bad eating habits.

my goal is to lose 75lbs in 10 month, and most of all to feel better overall

It'd probably hurt me quite a lot to hear that from my grandma, but 3-4 years ago when I went to visit my grandmother, she mistaken me for my mother! it was my first time going back home and I was in shock
I've been called a lot of names back home, and teased (I was around 14 when I went to Europe)
Looking at the pictures now from my Euro trip, I am really embarrassed that I went out in a skirt! *uugh*
Anywho, enough about me. I' am really glad your doing this. Just remember to stick with this forum. It's really helpful here.

I'm 21 as well. I'm trying to lose 20 pounds. Good luck with your goal. I'm sure that if you put your mind to it and dont give up it can be done. Good luck!
