Hello--I'm new to the site and am looking to make big changes in '07! I've always struggled w/ my weight, and now here I am at 31 w/ 90-100lbs. to lose. I'm turning my despair into action and any advice regarding a workout plan will be greatly appreciated.
I would say I'm a beginner as far as weight training since I haven't done it consistently in over a year. However, I've worked out w/ a personal trainer in the past and am experienced w/ both free weights and machines. I know my way around the gym, I just need to put my time to good use while I'm there....oh, and actually stick to it
I've been doing cardio for the past several weeks, but still don't really know where to start w/ the weights. I need to be on a schedule and know exactly what I need to do otherwise I just head to the elliptical or treadmill and do cardio.
Any recommendations on a starting plan? Should I do full-body workouts or splits? How many days a week? Cardio on the same day or before/after? What should my daily calorie intake be (5'4, >200lbs.)?
