Hello guys!

Hey guys!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm 24 years old, from Portland OR. I finished my time in the Army, and toward the end, I got kind of lazy. After I got out, I got even lazier. I'm currently 6'1" at 240 lbs. I feel like I can safely get down to 210. I have a large frame, and when i was at my peak in the Army I was at 215 lbs. My cardio is still solid. I go to the gym about 4 times a week, but I haven't been losing weight like I wanted to. I joined up with you guys for advice on the nutrition side particularly, and some moral support too. My goal is to lose the weight in 6 weeks. I know it's kind of short, but I'm someone who needs to have a strong goal, or I get lazy.

Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you guys!

I just want to say, after poking my head in some topics, it's pretty amazing to see the weight loss that a lot of you guys have achieved. I hope that I can do the same!

Welcome Deedubb. My first suggestion would be to chart what you're eating and what your body is burning. I'm used to the format at fitday.com but there are other websites out there that are just as good, I'm sure. It just helps to get a handle on what you're eating, what you're burning and the progress you're making.
