Hello. I am excited to be part of your forum.
I am new to the training scene. I would like to train for a few road races, shed a few pounds, and increase my cardio system (most important to me is to have a healthy heart). One of my goals this year is to race in a "Ragnar" race with a few of my friends.
I did start to train last year, but had severe achilles tendon issues while running. So I took most of the summer off. It is time to start again. I will be working on the elliptical for some time than back out on the road.
Here is a bit of information about myself:
- 37 years old
- Height 5'9"
- Weight 176
Here are a few of my goals:
- weight 160
- run in a few races a year
- not worried about times, more worried about endurance
It is good to be in fellowship with those who are also trying to better their health.
