I am so glad i joined this forum as i desperately need the motivation.. at least now i have a place to vent! I dont like to talk about my diet with friends and family because sometimes they pull u down instead of pushing u forward.
Its really difficult to eat properly in our kind of society, its family based and we gather more than once a week.
Since ive been married, now i have 2 families! I started gaining weight right after i got married.. i was 65kgs (around 145pounds) and 2yrs later just when i got pregnant i was 90kgs (just over 200pounds)!!
To make things worse.. my excess weight affected my pregnancy.. i had early gestational diabetes all thru my pregnancy and had severe back problems..
Unfortunately i cudnt do anything about it at the time.. until i had my baby.. and now that my baby is a year old.. my husband is bugging me for another child... hehe.. i do too.. coz our son is lonely..
So this time around i want to do it right!! I want to lose the excess weight before i get pregnant again.. This time im dead serious.. I dont want to do this for stupid reasons like trying to be sexy or anything.. i just want to be healthy.. i dont want to have diabetes... i want to live and enjoy my children.. So
I promised myself these things to help me kickstart:
1- Sleep and wake up early... to boost my energy thru the day
2- No Yo Yo dieting or pills or any fast fad diets.. pure and simple healthy eating
3- Exercise for an hour at least 5 days a week.. until im drenched in sweat

So far ive started almost ten days ago.. im doing really well.. ive even hired a personal trainer to come to my home and converted one of the extra bedrooms into a mini home gym.
Im gonna be weighing myself on a weekly basis..

I would love to hear from any of you.. and be glad to be anyones diet buddy..
Currently im 89kgs (about 199pounds) and my target is 65kgs (145pounds) so i need to lose over 50pounds

:seeya: Take care

hey.. i can totally connect with what u are going thru.. regular family meals have also been a problem for me,particularly in the month of Ramadan coz i'd try my best to eat healthy where everyone else would be having all the fried stuff.. but things are better now.. in fact my family is actually being really supportive..i usually have my food cooked from before and when home eat my meals with the family, but often they are having really yummy stuffs that i cant have, and that often creates serious craving..

i have started my weight loss routine 17 days ago and i want to mek it a part of my life style.. i started off at 83 k.g.. and my goal is 66.. currently i'm somewhere below 80.5kilos:)

so.. yeah.. welcome to the forum.. its great that u have trainer coming to ur house and u got a gym too :)..

keep up the hard work and soon u'll reach ur goal
