Hello from Storm Knight

Well I'm new here so I just want to say hello and introduce myself.

I'm a dude from California. I have no idea what I weigh since I'm scared of scales but lets just say I have a lot of weight to lose. I'd like to lose at least 80 to 100lbs.

I started Turbo Jam today. It's pretty fun. Right now I can only make it through the learn and burn section needing to take a couple minute break in the middle.

Hello Storm Knight, looks like several of us are joining in with similar characteristics. You likely saw BobCW's post in this "new" area also.

I haven't jumped on a scale either but am probably about the same. Good luck, look forward to seeing your progress.

Since I don't own a scale the only updates everyone will be getting will be of the "well my pants are a little looser" (hopefully) and what not.

I've cut back on my intake and type of intake a lot lately. I eat when I'm bored and stressed and getting laid off and being unemployed for almost a year my intake skyrocketed. Now I only eat when I'm hungry and when I do it's something small like one burrito instead of my old two burritos, chips, salsa and a soda. I've also started buying fruit and juice for snacks instead of chips and candy.

Sounds like you're on your way to making great choices! If you are interesting, fitday.com is a good place to track calories and other data. :)

Same here! Just being aware that I eat when I'm stressed has changed that a lot. Surprisingly, I didn't know until very recently. I usually just eat something small, but many, many times during the day. Since I was gorging, I didn't really even notice. Doh! Now that I'm aware, I can stop myself pretty easily. Plus life is less stressful now too!

RadiantPebble, I checked out that website and it's really cool. It says I'm burning about twice as many calories as I'm taking in. I don't know if that is correct because it seems a little... weird to me.

Today I've taken in 1195cals. I've only burned 500 from exercise today. Are the basal and lifestyle numbers of cals per day burned correct?

Correct. That's what you need because your body is using them. There is also where you can see what you need to cut to in order to lose weight :)
