well im a 29 year old male and in january i injured my back at work
im just now getting to the point that they are letting me do physical therepy, before that i was just sitting and getting fat(sucks) im 6'3 240lbs.
my doctor says i need to strengthen my abs and my back to stabalize the injury. my goal is to get to 196lbs, i figured that there might be alot of people on the same path as far as getting back in shape and i ended up finding this site.....and the journey begins.
 
This is a completely realistic goal. I was very heavy in the spring of 1978 when I was 22 years old. I was moving a very long and heavy metal framed couch up the narrow hallway of a Chicago apartment building. My body was not strong since I was fat and out of shape. I hurt my back and although it never is the same, it started me to change my shape for the years ever since. You can too. The fact that you have a specific goal makes it even more likely. I am interested in knowing what you think is the very first thing that you need to do to lose these 44 pounds?
