My name is Candice and i have been struggling with weightloss since I was ten. I'm 17 and, sadly lack motivation. The only thing I really am ever motivated to do is play the clarinet and read. >.> lol i really think this was a good idea. =]
 
Hello!!... I loved the clarinet in highschool.. That was the one thing I was really great at.. Start writing a journal of the reasons why you want to lose weight and then write what you are going to do to make it happen..
Take a picture of yourself and put it in your journal, and take a picture or cut it out of a magazine of an amazing outfit that youd love to wear, and it in your journal.. For exercise, start with jumping jacks or skip rope to get your heart rate up, do stretches and then do a small amount of cardio.. You can read still while riding a stationary bike..

I wish you good luck. Motivation is the hardest part of losing weight but you'll find a lot of great ideas and information here. you just have to find something to do and do it everyday no matter what you would rather be doing and eventually it will all fall into a rythm and get a lot easier especially after your hard work starts to pay off and you see results. I find that to be one of the best motivators. the most import thing after that is that even if you hit a wall for a week or even 2, keep going anyway a plataue can be a motivation killer but just know if you keep working you'll keep getting what you give. Remember, your not just trying to lose weight, your trying to change your life and the way you live your life. :)
 
Welcome! I like reading too! I see a lot of people at the gym who read while using the treadmills and ellipticals... (I listen to my Ipod.. I forget to bring a book!) Have you started a diary? This is a great way to track your activity as well as what you are eating.
