Hello from Mid-Michigan

Howdy, I came here for some support as people around me say I look fine...
I use to weight 275 pounds and got down to 215-well I am back up to 250. I used to do weight watchers and can do it anymore.. or maybe just need support. (my height is 5'-10.5'')
about me:
I am a 25 year old guy from a large family (size and number). I just recently graduated from university with no job.. that's fine by me-I'd like a break. If anyone is from the area and needs a work out friend or has any idea how to get back on track-please let me know as I'd be very appreciative. Feel free to be blunt and just tell me the truth too.
 
welcome, you should start by telling us what your eating habits are like.

what is your biggest problem when on a diet?
what your weakness is (as far as food gos)?
why weight watchers didn't work for you?
what other diets have you tried?

you know stuff like that.

most of my family is and has been dieting for a long time. My one aunt has given me a lot of info one dieting. so if you can give some answers to the questions above as well as any other info i'm sure my self as well as others can help you in some way.

my husband used to be a body builder too so i can ask him on the building muscle thing too when you get to that stage.

eating habits.. I won't lie, I eat anything now. If I am hungry I go snack...
YES! I am a snacker, I don't like to eat big meals.
problems on a diet- easy it was being in college and no one understanding what the heck I was doing it for. Even now post graduation, I had to move home and there is no support/everyone is questioning why I am doing it.
weakness, well it's not sweet or meats (odd I know) not like meatloaf but shredded meat, my family use to eat it all the time.
weight watchers did work for me the first time, but the 2nd and 3rd times, I knew how to cheat. So I am want to try something else.
other diets, a lot of fad diets and starving myself.
favorite foods: Mexican, POP/soda-man I drink a lot of this, but it IS diet, i love pasta and bread, cheese too. Let's just say I like it all because I do.

I guess it's just easier to eat what ever I want to.
 
WOW well first off you need to stop eating everything that you are now. and ppl that think that diet pop is better then the reg. need a good kick in the butt. :rant: ok now that i got that out. i know its hard to stop eating the things that you are used to but you can switch the pop to juice for now then cut out the juice to water. as far as meat, you can have that just make sure that its extra lean. do not buy frozen meals. a diet in high fiber will keep you full as long as you drink lost of liquid. coffee and tea dont count unless they are caf. free. you should get between 25-35 grams of fiber a day. and you need to count calories. i will have to look in my book before i can tell you roughly how many you should have. i would also try to cook your own meals more often. an if you count calories which i really hope you do plan what your going to eat the day before. this is how i lost all the weight that i have so far an its still working for me. i know that everyone body is different but i hope that this works for you.

eating this way helped me lose 60lbs in about 5 months.
