Hi Everyone. After 10 years of struggling with fibromyalgia, I am taking taking control. I'm losing weight, and I'm starting an exercise program. I'm on a 12-week program to start taking it off. I'm going to enjoy meeting people here.

Hi Leslie! My name is Leandro. Congratulations in beating fibromyalgia. I am a nurse and I had a patient who suffered fibromyalgia for 13 years! So well done in being able to control it now.

Are you into any diet plan or pills as well, aside from your exercise program?

Oh I think I need to introduce myself for everyone, right? Sorry, it's my first time to join a forum.

My name is Leandro, nurse, 36 years young. I am weighing 91 kilos and being a nurse as my profession needs me to be up and running, especially when being assigned in emergency rooms. I need to lose weight especially in the stomach area. Having that 6-pack is a plus, but not a must. I am doing everything now from exercise, pills and diet.

Any help or tips would be great.

Thanks Leslie for this space. Hoping we can help each other out.

Hello and thanks. ALLCdnBoy, I don't take many pills. I tried Lyrica, but it messed with my mind. I do take a muscle relaxant to help me sleep, as I have a sleep disorder.

You're welcome, Leslie.

Thanks ALLCdnBoy. I do take pills actually. I am currently taking Prescopodene that I ordered online. It works for me and gives me more energy...energy that I really need to keep up with my job. I think not all pills are the same. Some work and some do not. I've tried other pills that gave me heart burn.

The most important thing still is how you help yourself along the way. If you take pills and eat like an elephant, you won't see any changes then. But if you do exercise together with a healthy diet, you will eventually get to your goal. Discipline plays a very large role, too.

Discipline is what is needed - not pills.

Well, I am really happy with my results so far. I have lost 3 pounds since starting on February 2, and I'm not starving myself. I've been able to keep up with my fibro exercises, and am excited with the Automatic Body system. I've felt better this week than I have in a long time.

Hey Leslie! That's good news! 3 pounds in almost 2 weeks is awesome.

Prescopodene is a weight loss and energy booster pill. I have been taking them for two months now. I know I can lose weight with exercise and diet only, but these pills give me more energy to keep up with my daily activities. Plus i lose more when im taking them so i stick with it.

How about you, what's the automatic body system?

It's a brand new program from Kim Lyons of Biggest Loser Fame. They are in the process of rolling out a phone app that will text you to keep you on track. Right now, I'm just using Skinne, which is their appetite controlling energy giving 2 oz shot. I've lost another pound, and I'm not really dieting. I'm just not hungry and don't think about food so much. Let me know if you'd like to know more, and I can give you some more information.

Hi Leandro. The app is currently being approved by the Google and iPhone stores. It should be ready soon. I'll keep you posted.

That seems cool. Where can I download the app?

Hi and welcome to the forums :)
If you're after a good app, try MyFitnessPal, I use it and found it very good. It allows you to put in what you eat every day, it adds up and counts calories for you, it's got a huge database from which you can select whatever it is you're eating, and it has a barcode scanner if you buy something and want an easy way of putting it in your daily menu. You can use it either online or download it on your phone as an app. Good luck to both of you!
