Hello from KC

Hello! Just joined this forum (obviously!). I am always looking for new ideas and advice when it comes to fitness and eating right. Especially right now when it's winter and my motivation is low, and I've gained 8 pounds since the beginning of summer! Anyway, I also have a lot of experience and knowledge on working out and dieting, so I love to answer questions and give my two cents!

My current goal is training for a marathon taking place in less than two weeks. I've been training since August and focusing on my running. Though my heart is healthy and my endurance is great, my body-shape has gone by the wayside. I've lost a lot of tone that i had before when I was doing more weight training. So needless to say, when I've completed the marathon, I will go back to more weight training and lower impact cardio. I think then my goal will be to get back to the shape I was in at my wedding last May (approximately eight pounds and a couple inches here and there!)

What are your goals? Knowing where you want to go is critical in determining how you're going to get there. Welcome to the forum.
