Hi there all - i am a Feeb - i am a photographer and i am overweight :(

Currently i weigh 15st 74 and i am 5"7

I am going on holiday to Bali with my mum in April and i would love to be back to about 12st by then - preferably lower but i am about a size 12 when i am 12st which i think is a fine goal to start with

currently i am gymming and swimming three times a week - 40mins on an exercise bike, 30mins on a ski machine thingy and then 1hr swimming...

I have also started eating more healthily - fresh fish instead of meat, herbal tea (womens fitness Yogi Tea = YUMMY) and have replaced my choccie biscuit snacks for those nutty, fruity snack bars you can get

Am here for advice and support and of course to help and support people where i can :)

So... nearly 4st in 8 Months... is it possible?

Welcome, feeb! It sounds like you are off to a good start. If you read the various stickies here on the forum, you can find tons of info on both a healthy diet plan, and exercise. They helped me immensily!

Good luck on reaching your goal...you can do it thru hard work and determination!

It is perfectly possible for you to lose 4 stone in 8 months if you hone your diet by using the free account from FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal that I mentioned to you in your other thread.

Read the stickies around the forum and be sure to study the stickies in the exercise and nutrition sections.

In addition I would suggest that you adopted the good nutritional guidelines that I set as bonuses in the challenge that I ran over the summer. Each is like a seperate little nutrition lesson - and I am sure that your diet would benefit from making sure that you are doing them all. You may well be doing some of them but I suspect that you will not be doing them all.

Korrie did a sticky in the newcomers section which covers how you can set up your ticker. If you have the ticker in your signature it will help others to help you - and it will also help you see how you are progressing towards your Bali goal.

Generally people who simply think that they are making healthy choices and exercise do not get the levels of weight loss which is achieved by the people who take a scientific approach and ensure that they are getting the right levels for all their nutrients and that their calories are set to the right level. Whilst both the food and exercise aspects are important for weight control - it is demonstrated time and time again that we do not get the weight losses that we want unless the food side is right.

Good luck with your project.
