Kel here, as you can see by my Ticker, I have a LONG way to go.

I am married, with 3 gorgeous kids, and have just moved 11 hrs away from my home in SE Queensland with my hubby and kids for his job.

In all honesty, I am sick of the way I look. I am 153 kilos, very unfit and unhealthy. I LOVE salads and vegies, but I am a very lazy cook, and would rather eat a packet of bikkies, than spend time making salad sanswiches for lunch. :(

I need to exercise more. DH spent alot of money recently, buying me a treadmill, and I have been using it 30 mins a day, 3 days a week. I have lost 2 kilos over the last 2 weeks, I want to step it up to 40 minutes 5 days a week.

Looking forward to starting my exciting life as a 'yummy mummy' (ALWAYS been told I have a gorgeous face, lol)

Wow

Hi Kel,

Wow, we are going through the same thing, My family and I have just moved to Townsville area 16 hours from home:eek:
I am also from Gold Coast, and I miss it so much, stuck up here, rain rain rain -lol, very lonely.
I have two beautiful boys and they love it here....
I to have decided it is time to lose weight, I have just started Cohen's lifestyle and have been doing it for 5 days today and have lost 4 kilo's so far....yipee, something that actually seems to work, I know the first while will be water retention but all the people doing Cohens seem to have extraordinary results - so here hoping.
I too am a lazy cook as my wonderful husband loves cooking and takes over most of the time - but I have decided I just have to do something about my weight and get off my bottom and cook/prepare my meals, I find Cohens really easy because they tell you what you must have, eg protein size, veg size.
Something else funny I am a Kel too - maybe we can help each other along our journey.
Congrats on choosing to do something about your weight - you can do this!

Take care and talk soon
Kelly:)

Nice work you both!
4 kilos to us lazy americans still waiting for that english-> metric system swap is almost 9lbs!! That number does tend to start to slow down after about the 3rd or 4th week... but just work on keeping ir around 2lbs (4.4kilos :p ) and you will be doing FINE!

I suggest looking up some recipes, I am working on many of my favorites in the old test kitchen and in a few weeks I hope to make a cook book of recipes organized from easy to make / make aheads to good old classics and favorites! Its a slow process since testing recipes requires tasting them :p and im limiting myself on that aspect.

Good Journey to you!!!

Thanks Kelly, and Lollipopkid.....m

I am really excited about finally losing this weight.

Lollipopkid, good luck with your journey, you will do it!

Kelly, good luck with your diet/lifestyle change, 4 kilos already is a huge amount! congrats.

We can be buddies in the Kel club! lol

talk soon, Kel.
