Hey everyone. Just an introduction.....

Back in July of 09 I stepped on the scale and I found myself (like many out there)extremely overweight. I was 5'8 and over 230 lbs. I notice a major loss of energy and just feeling lousy most of the time. Something had to give. My wife and I are both extremely active, racing offroad and gran prix style motorcycle races. This requires the use of muscle not normally used and is very physically demanding. I notice my results were slipping fast. We both started dieting and within 3 months I was around 195. I followed a 1500 calorie balanced diet and was in the gym 3 to 4 days a week. I never felt better. Unfortunately I fell off the wagon and packed on the pounds again. This will be my second bout with weight and am back on the same diet and gym routine. As of March 1st my initial weigh in was 229 lbs. As of today I have lost almost 13 lbs and am at 216. No one ever said this would be easy huh....

It sounds like you know how to lose the weight. 1,500 calorie diet and 3 to 4 days exercise is great. What is your goal weight and how will you do things differently this time to make sure that you do not regress?

My goal weight is 185. This should be pretty reasonable and obtainable. I try and stay active most of the day, reminding myself not to "eat out of boredom". I play music and tinker with anything mechanical. I try and ride (motorcycle) at a good pace and usually will exceed 200+ miles every weekend. These are the 2 things that keep me motivated and focused. The last 2 weeks have been tough and I have hit plateau with the weight loss Now I'm in the process of switching up my routine in the gym. we'll see what happens.
