Hello Fitness World!

My name is Nessa and I am a total fitness novice. I am interested in trying to start running, but I've never really ran for pleasure and have no idea where to start. I'm in no shape whatsoever, and if anyone has any tips for beginners in running, I would truly appreciate it! How should I pace myself in the beginning? What shoes are best for beginners? Please help me out! Thanks!!

As far as shoes, I had gotten mine sized and found a pair that really works for me. (I got some Asics and spent about $100 on it.)

Hi Nessa, any luck with the running? I'm also training for a half marathon, about to enter my tapering phase. One thing that really helped me get ready for that intense kind of cardio was the , a 2 month workout that can really help you get ready. I'm not sure if would be of help, but it can definitely boost your all-round fitness as well!
