About Me:
Age: 22
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 190lbs
Bodyfat: Unsure, but probably pretty high.
History:
I have pretty much struggled with my weight my entire life. I was never fat or overweight, but I was never fit either. When I was younger, I was a fairly promising tennis player. I played up until I got to high school and quit, equal parts due to peer pressure and not wanting to commit to the time and energy required to "be something" as a tennis player. I wrestled in high school and had my weight in check, though I quit wrestling my junior year. My weight remained around 140 pounds and then up to 150 my junior year. I stayed at 160 for a couple years after that, but I have been on a steep incline for the past year or so, gaining about 25 pounds.
Goals:
I am entering my last year of community college and am applying to universities this fall. I am hoping to join (well, create, to get technical) my school's tennis team and compete. I would like to get down to 170 lbs and overall be in much better shape than I ever have been. My dream goal would be to be able to compete in tennis at the university I end up attending. Obviously this depends on my tennis skill, but my fitness level will take me a long way.
---------------------
I do not have a diet planned out yet. I have lost weight before and the only thing that has ever really worked for me is really watching what and how much I consume and exercising religiously, making it a routine. A couple questions I have:
Is it healthy to eat the same foods every day? Like, the exact same meals every day?
Should I seek professional training geared specifically for tennis? (In terms of exercising, not hitting technique)
I'm sure I will think of more questions in the future.
Thank you in advance!
