Hello everyone.

Hey all. My name is Daniel Gray. I'm 22 and I'm a music producer from Maryland, but currently living in North Carolina. I came here in hopes that I might be able to get help on gaining weight and turning it into muscle. I'm a skinny guy (6'0, 140 pounds) and I eat like it's going out of style but I never really manage to gain any weight.

Anyway, I look forward to meeting everyone and hopefully getting some muscle on this mass of bones I carry around all day. :)

Greetings eh. :D

I wish I had your problems. ;) Hahaha. Just playin'. I'm sure you're sick of hearing that sort of thing.

There's a wealth of information and a lot of informed people floating around here.

Here are some some fundamentals:

1) work out hard, not long, full body 3x/week, > 45 mins to complete is too long
2) your pre, during and post workout nutrition need to be on
3) muscle is built in the kitchen and in bed, not in the gym - this means you need to eat (probably much more than what you think is lots of) good quality food, and improving the quantity and/or quality of your sleep would probably be a good idea

Read the stickies and keep yourself motivated; you'll do great. Have fun. :D

Wow thank you guys so much for the information and the warm welcomes. That makes me feel a lot better about this as this is something I've wanted to do for awhile, but I haven't really had the time until late - and I will admit it's rather nerve racking being that it's such a big commitment.

@Focus - Yeah, I do hear that all the time. "God I wish I could eat like you and not gain a pound." I can understand that coming from some people, but it's definitely not all it's cracked up to be. Thanks for the fundamentals, it'll help a lot. :)

@Chillen - Oh those links are fantastic, I really have no clue what I'm doing with all of this, but I do know I want to make something of it. One can only stand being skinny for so long before it gets old haha. Thank you again for the links and the help.

You are very welcome.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

Hey!

You may want to consider creating a journal. This way you can ask additional questions, post your diet and training, keep a log of thoughts, etc.

A lot of persons view these logs, and it could assist you, possibly, in alot of ways!

ROCK ON!

Welcome to the forum.

What kind of music do you produce? I have a few friends who produce as well.

Well I do quite a bit actually hehe.

For my self-owned label I do Electro/Minimal House/Trance.

At the other label I work for (FIXT Music, We've done music for Spider-Man 3, Spider-Man 2, The Hills Have Eyes 2, etc) I do mainly orchestral/breakbeat stuff. High energy stuff for TV Shows/Films/Video games and whatever else we can slip our music into haha.
