Hi, I am Aspen. I hit my all time high, 161 lbs, in May. I am 5'3". I bought a Fitbit and kicked into gear June 4th. I am not dieting, I am eating healthier and exercising every day (currently exercising a lot, averaging 8 to 12 miles per day of walking and jogging). This is something I will be able to do for a lifetime. I weighed in this morning at 151.2, so close to 10 lbs gone! I am sure my next 10 lbs will be more difficult to lose. I will be in a healthy BMI by 140 lbs and I have a long term goal of 125 lbs. In this past month I have become more energetic and feel healthier and stronger. I see lots of changes happening.

Welcome to the forum.

Well done for eating healthier and starting to do a lot of exercise... It is great that the fitbit is motivating you to do just that... I found that my pedometer had a similar effect on me - encouraging me to do more than the old less fit me... I hope that you keep it up and continue to see brilliant further improvements.

Naturally it is important to keep it up when you get to goal too (maybe with a little less exercise or a little more healthy food) - in order to maintain your losses...

I suggest that you read the following thread - it may help you settle in and make friends

Good luck with your project.
