Hello everyone, I found this forum via a Google search as a hope for community/resource of info to help me in my weight loss journey ^^
So, I am 19 years old, from Ireland, male. Not sure of my actual weight but finally decided to stop moaning about my size and finally take action. I'm a pretty tall guy with a big build (6footish), so I am a little happy about that as I can hold my weight for the most part! However I do have some excess flab/face fat etc (you name it!) I would love to lose! And as a result I am here ^^
I've been looking into Jogging for basic aerobics and some weight lifting for cardio. However to be honest I am very lost on the whole issue of actually losing weight, with regards to my diet and actual exercise plan.
I plan to eat less junk/better and to exercise a lot more. Seems pretty straightforward to me albeit easier said than done
I don't have access to a gym sadly, but however I plan to just run in my own area. I have a nice route set out but I am not sure at all how long it is or if it will be good enough? My main questions are as follows
1. What is a good exercise goal? 6 days is a week would be fine for me, said route I mentioned above might be a little under two miles maybe? I'm just a little confused as to if the route I choose is ok, as I do not want to run it for ages then find it is no good
What should I aim for
Also, how much should I eat/drink before running, if even? ( I plan to run in the morning) Should I drink while running? So confused :s
Also, I heard of a nice program called the "couch to 5k", it is designed to help get people into running, I don't know if it will be any good for weight loss but maybe you guys could take a look and tell me?

2. Weights ; I read that they were good for cardio to get your body toned with the aerobics. I can get two small dumbbells from a friend of mine, if that is ok? Again, confused about what will work and what is good enough, or I will reap benefit from. What should I be aiming for?
3. My diet ; I know I need to eat healthier, the whole thing is confusing to me though, what to eat, when, what size portions etc.
If I could get some good info on these three topics I could set out on my journey to lose weight and change my lifestyle asap. I don't want to rush in and do the wrong things then find out months later I did no good or was doing it all wrong xD
Thanks so much for any information that is contributed ^^
