Well I've been lurking around for the past four or five weeks now..... and I finally decided to say hi. 
A little bit about myself; I'm a 26 year old from Sri Lanka. I've been overweight for the longest time now, slowly gaining weight for the last 14 or so years. Last year I decided enough was enough and joined a local gym and began dieting.
Needless to say I lost about 13 kgs (28 lbs) in about 12 weeks. I was at a 116 kgs (256 lbs) and I'm about five feet ten inches tall. That was the first time I had ever lost weight and as you can imagine, I was over the moon.
But I fell sick for a couple of days and embarrassingly let myself slide. I stopped going to the gym and just forgot my diet completely. I gained all my weight back in a couple of months and I'm bigger and heavier than ever now.
A couple of weeks back, as I was getting into my car, I realized how uncomfortable my body felt. I could feel my tummy against my chest, I had severe neck pain (from improper sleeping positions), I could feel the folds of my skin..... I just felt simply crappy.
Later that same day I came across this forum and checked out the before and after pictures section. Man, I was just blown away by all incredible stories and pictures posted there. That motivated me and two days later I hotfooted it back to the gym.
So its been about 3 weeks and I've already lost about 3kgs (6.5 lbs) and I've got a loooooong way to go but I'm determined to get to my goal [first 86 kg (189 lbs) and then to 75 kgs (165 lbs)] this time. If I don't I'll never lurk around here ever again.
