Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone. I am here for help with losing weight. I signed back up to the gym and will weigh myself when I go tonight. I am over 300+ lbs. way to much. Last summer I got down to 280lbs but I lost my focus and picked up my old habits again. I got rid of all the bad foods out of my house today and going to go shopping for healthy foods.

Welcome

Welcome,

Take little steps and have a go at putting together a plan of your day, and week.

With busy lifestyles it's quite easy to lose track, I have been there and done that. I now have a routine that is working for me, but I have to make sure I monitor my routine and tweak it where required.

Good things take time, but coming to this forum is a positive step for you.

Kind Regards

Thanks! The last to days have been a little difficult with adjusting my eating habits, but with buying healthy foods it a lot easier.

Hi Saburn,

Welcome and good luck!

It sounds like you're motivated, so some advise I'd offer is to develop a support system that will be there to back you up and keep you on track when your motivation starts to slip (which for most people, it always does at some point).

What's your specific plan to reach your goals? Are you focusing more on dieting? exercise? or attempting to hit it from both angles?

I am trying to do it with both exercise and diet. I have started going to the gym again and have revamped and quit most of my bad eating habit. Its kinda hard at first but it get easier.

Have you REPLACED your bad eating habits?

The reason I ask is that I see a common reason for failure over and over: people RESIST their bad habits, but don't REPLACE them with healthy habits.

Willpower can only last so long, and eventually most people break down and go back to what they know. If you replace the old bad habits with new good habits, you'll have something to turn to (something good!) when you get crazy cravings!

Good luck!

~Tim
