Hello everyone

I've come most of the way through my weight loss journey but you know how it gets towards the end - I feel like I'm hitting my head against the wall, though I think I know where to go.

I've been heavy since about 8 years old and have never weighed as little as I do now as an adult. I've lost 120 pounds, but at 5' 2" and 168 - I'm just under the obese marker. I think I'd like to get into "normal" range, meaning about 140, but this is all new territory to me. Never been there, never done that. I put on a size 12 for the first time in my life a few days ago. It was like being in the twilight zone...

I work out 6 or 7 times a week and recently bought a bike, which I ride as often as my family will part with me, so I'm ready to kick it up a knotch, but there is so much conflicting info out there. Sheesh. Just trying to balance cardio and resistance, trying to eat enough (big issue right now as I am terrified of gaining anything back) and actually see my family too. I know you hear me on that one! Couldn't I just stop time and work out for a few weeks and then start up again?

Anyway, I'm mother of two, just turned 39 for the first of many times, and posted in the exercise section but haven't heard from anyone. Thought maybe I'd been rude and came here to introduce myself.

This forum is huge - I can't even take in a fraction of it!
So thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

Hi Gina,

I don't believe anybody thinks you were rude, lol. The diary section is usually busiest and I urge you to start one. People here are friendly and helpful.

Congratulations on your weight loss! That's wonderful! 120 lbs! Wow!

Don't have much in the way of advice about how to fit in more time to work out. I have an hour a day from 5 - 6 in the AM. That's it. So I walk and when I get down in weight a bit more, I'll start running. Eventually I'll have to squeeze an hour of weight training in 4 evenings a week, but not just now. My evenings are all booked. But soon...

Anyway, I wanted to welcome you! Enjoy the journey, sound like you are well on your way.

Best Regards,

David C
