Hello all! I'm a 38 year old mom of 3, grandma of 1. I have always vacillated between 120 and 140 lbs on my 5'4 body. Sometimes I have been in incredible shape. Other times I've been too thin. Right now, I am about 22 lbs higher than I care to be.

I have Fibromyalgia but it really doesn't affect my life. I was diagnosed a decade ago and after a year long flare I decided it wasn't going to rule my world. I quit taking any prescriptions for it. All I take is ibuprophen now.

My biggest challenges are that I work unreal hours at a desk job, I really don't LIKE veggies or fruits, I'm eternally broke so diet 'programs' or special foods are not a possibility.

My biggest strengths are that I know what it feels like to be strong and healthy, I am motivated to defy my family health issues for my own sake as well as my children's, I have actually taught fitness classes so I know WHAT to do, it's just a matter of DOING it!

I joined the forum to get some support and tips on what has helped other people stay on track.

Welcome here! May I suggest you start a journal, either here or at home, to keep track of what you are eating, just to see where you're at. It's easier to 'tweak' your calories and stuff if you have it in black and white!

Good luck to you!

Sounds like you already know what you need to do, that's good. I don't like veggies either; I've been looking for ways to sneak a few into my recipes. :D
