New here, but I suspect that's fairly obvious
I guess I'll start by telling you all a little bit about myself...
I'm 16 years old, and have always been on the chubby side. And whilst I was a cute 5 year old, I've decided it's time for a change. I no longer feel comfortable around my super-slim friends, and my self confidence has plummeted.
My main problem is that I am 5'2'' and have a very small frame - which is reflected in my hands, wrists, feet and ankles. So although my current weight of 119 lbs sounds slender and healthy, it's not the case. This has been my main problem, because as soon as I mention how much I weigh, the reaction I get is "oh, you don't need to lose any weight". Quite upsetting, because when people see me it is obvious I could do with losing some - but I've found it so difficult to get help and support without being labelled vain and obsessive.
I seem to carry most of my fat on my tummy (worst of all), bum and thighs. Next year I am going on an expedition to Zambia, and really need to be in good physical shape. I aim to tone up, shed the flab from my belly, and regain my fitness and confidence. My first goal is to lose 7 lbs - and I'll see where I'll go from there. I'm so glad I've found this forum (just because christmas!) as I'm hoping it will keep me on the right track
