Hello, weight loss friends.
I don't know how much I weigh, because I refuse to get on a scale. I know it is probably the heaviest I've been - my guess is somewhere around 145.
I'm 5'6, 22, and was around 125 most of my teenage life, and have slowly been gaining weight over the past few years. I have terrible self control when it comes to food, and really want to become more disciplined, but I eat emotionally and in the past year have had plenty of reason to over eat - thought it's not an excuse for gluttony.
I am anemic, so I'm often low energy, and I'm trying to figure out how to conquer this thing. I'm small boned, as well, so while I hide the weight pretty well I am not built well for carrying any extra weight. Considering all that, I keep a pretty good body image - but I do need help getting the motivation to really make a difference.
I am probably like a size 9 right now, and would really like to be down to like a size 5. My body frame is built for being on the lower range of the "healthy BMI" chart, and I don't think being a 5 is unreasonable. Maybe it is? Maybe some of you could help me.
I'm really serious about kicking this, though, and any advice or wisdom you guys would have to share about starting would be greatly appreciated.
