Hello there!

I decided it was time to get myself together and get healthy!
I attmepted to in the new year but it just didn't happen,hehe so it's a couple of months late!

I liked the look of this website very much and all you friendly folk,so hopefully we'll all be able to help each other to achieve our goals! Ideally I want to get fit,start jogging and stop the naughty snacking in the evenings,and make some new friends along the way!

It's so lovely to read such supportive replies already! :D
I'm hoping to lose two stone ideally,by jogging every other day and basically eating less food!It's going a little bit up and down at the moment,doing well one day and then not so great the next.I suppose it's just making little changes,that add up and make the big difference.

I am keen to start a diary-where do I do this!? :D
 
Hey! it's great that you're starting a diary! I have found mine SOOOO useful!!!

you can start one there! Just create a new thread as your diary and post away! I would recommend reading the sticky first- so you know the guidelines and rules! And they've also posted some initial questions you can answer to get you started!! :)

The snacks can be hard :p.

I've just had an incident with far too many calories from getting into cashews myself :D, ate the whole packet not good :( (900kcal over recommended for the day). So I can see your point. :)

Thank you so much for your lovely welcome.Oh my goodness,I must admit that I have done that myself!Cashew nuts are just delicious and incredibly addictive!Before you know it,the packet is gone.The thing is though,although they are high in fat they do contain lots of good vitamins and nutrients that are very important,especially when cutting out so many other things in your diet. I try to have them a handful at a time!(They're also lovely toasted on top of currys :D ) Or mix them up with a few other nuts like almonds,which are really nice.
I agree though,it's so hard to do.I find it so difficult to just stop at one,or,a few.I then go ahead and eat the whole lot!I don't even know why I do,I only feel guilty afterwards.
Anyway!Don't worry!we'll conquer the unhealthy-snacking together! :D
