Hello everyone,

I've been lurking (hehe) on the website for a while now and I've read and seen some pretty inspirational stuff.

I'll cut to the chase =( yes the sad chase =( I've gained about 75 pounds since I started college. I graduated last year and have just started medical school this year. I just feel super tired all of the time and I know I need the energy if want to keep up.

I weigh about 220 pounds (5' 7") and am looking to get back to 150. Maybe even less if I can do it.

I admire the support groups here and hope to meet this goal.

Thanks everyone!

Pssssssssssssssst.. I'll probably have some before pics up by tomorrow =)

Cheers!

Hey Tamara.

Welcome to the community. I've known quite a few med students and their schedules are insane! I've trained a med student too, who was also a mother.

It is possible. It just takes a lot of planning IMO. Planning your meals and workouts will go a long way.

Best to ya and look forward to learning more about ya!

Hi, glad you finally decided to come out of hiding. :waving:

Good luck with med school! My cousin is getting ready to go med, and I hear it's a real bear. :D

welcome tamara! i'm a fellow med student here---third year. first year i lost like 10-15 pounds then gained it all back second year with the stress of boards.......now is a good time to establish a healthy lifestyle with the support from here so that later on the stress doesn't get you to gain it all back and you're better able to handle it! either way, i'm now a third year, a whole lot busier than i ever have been, and still managing to do this whole working out/eating well thing. so you can definitely do it and you have tons of support here!

thanks all!

Thanks so much everyone for the encouragement =)

I know it's gonna be hard but it's good to know and hear from all of you that it is possible.

Here's to a new year!!

Tamara
