Came across the forum recently and joined it a week or so back. My name is Rupkamal(if that is hard, just Pom will do) :) and I am a journalist by profession. I am based in India. Would love to be friends with people across the world even if we meet virtually. :) am really into movies, psychology and the study of attraction and meeting people across different cultures.

I am currently struggling to get back in shape after a hernia surgery 2 years ago. I weight 181 pounds right now and need to be around 149. So hope to get back in shape with help from you guys.

Ya. journalism can be exciting. I cover crime and civic issues mainly. But it can also get tedious after a point of time if you are doing the same thing. :)
I have just started my schedule. I am not in a position to join a gym or buy lot of equipment. So I have started with a jumping rope. I am trying to build up a basic stamina level where I can skip for 5 minutes non stop. After which I plan to follow a schedule of HIIT which is given below.
Stand in front of a clock or timer of some sort
Jump Rope for 3 minutes to warm up
Rest for 30 seconds
Jump rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
Rest for 30 seconds
Jump Rope as quickly as possible for 60 seconds
Rest for 30 seconds
Repeat this alternating pattern for 15-20 minutes

This is my first week. Let's see how I fare. :) what's your goal ? What do you do for training ?
