Hello everyone,
I was a member of this forum several months ago and because of lifes ups and downs I have been missing in action. Most of you I'm sure weren't around when I was so I thought I would start a new journal and introduce myself.
My name is Angie and I'm recently married. My husband and I have both struggled with our weight our whole life and he fortunately enough has gotten his under control, me on the other hand has not. Before the wedding on September 30th I was doing really well in fact my wedding dress was big on me but unfortantely ever sine the honeymoon I can't get back into my routine of working out and eating right. We want to have a family but before I we start trying I want to get off the extra weight. I haven't brought myself to get on a scale yet but I'll do it tomorrow morning.
This forum was great support tool when I was using it and I hoping to make some new friends and get some help with my weightloss.
I'm going to try and not do any crash dieting. I'm going to eat six times a day three small meals and three healthy snacks. In the past I've done everything from liquid diets, starving myself, low-carb - basically anything there was to try I've tried it. All I learned and most of you probably know is there is no short cut fast track to weightloss. Eat right and exercise is the only thing that works and keeps it off.
There I am in a nut shell. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hopefully helping you guys as much as I know you'll help me on my journey.

I'm so glad your back hun, and I hope your mom is ok!

Thanks Ashley and Tina! It's nice to be back. There are so many new people here, it's going to take some time to read through diaries and getting up to speed with everyone.

Ashley I've been reading through yours and I love your costumes. You're going to look fantastic come April.

Tina I'm not sure if Korrie shared the wedding pics but PM and I'll give you the link.

Well I'm off to bed to try and get a couple of hours sleep before the gym.
 
So much for a good start today. I'm home sick with some sort of stomache thing. Let's just say I wanted to stay close to a restroom :( It will some good time to read through some more diaries.

Sorry about the stomachache. Those are miserable, and kill all motivation to do anything.

Thanks everyone. Well it looks like I have the flu. :( I'm going to be checking in on diaries but I wont start at the gym and recording food till Monday, theres no point in trying to kid myself that I'm going to do any of that from now till then.

I'm with ya though, I need to kick it in high gear! But I too am waiting till monday. Hope you have a great weekend!
 
Well this hasn't been a very productive weekend, with this flu I've been in bed all weekend. Gene (my husband) has been so sweet. All weekend he's attended to our dogs and cooked for me. He's been testing his hand at soup making. The soups have been delicious although I'm sure not low calorie or low fat. He told me I can focus on that starting Monday. He even had me make him a grocery list and he went and got everything so there's no excuse as to why I couldn't start.

Well today is the day :) I was bummed this morning, I weighed in 199.8 :( but I picked my chin up and told myself I'm doing something about it so there's no reason to be upset. Here is my menu for the day
Breakfast - Oatmeal
Snack - Pear
Lunch- 1/2 turkey on multigrain, carrot sticks
Snack - yogurt
dinner - EAS shake
Snack - orange

Going to the gym today after work :)
 
Day 2 - Yesterday went well on food, but I didn't get to the gym. I had to go pick up my professional wedding pictures and after fighting with the traffic and looking through them it was too late and I was too lazy :( It's alright I'll do better today :) Here is my menu for today:
Breakfast
yogurt
snack
orange
lunch
scallops & broccoli
snack
non-fat cottage cheese
dinner
EAS Shake
Water water water
Going to the gym tonight!!
 
Hi Gonnabcute, looks like things may be going slowly but you got it under control, good for that! I hope your day goes good and you get that exercise in. :)
