Hi everyone, I'm sooooo glad I found this site!!
I have battled the bulge for the last 7 or eight years, with significant weight gain each year. I've decided to make a healthy lifestyle change rather than just "go on a diet", since the yo-yo dieting is what has gotten me to where I am now.
I am looking forward to being a part of this supportive forum community.

Are you following any particular eating and exercise plan?

As a recovering yo- yo-er myself, I can tell you that personal motivation and commitment is key and there are a multitude of tools here in the site to help ya. I rely on the diary I keep here, as well as joining in on the challanges.

Hi,Welcome and Happy New Year!! Keep a diary on what you eat, how you feel, and drink plenty of water! Also keep positive and do something for yourself everyday!
 
Thanks for the welcome Eevee and Yarmiah! I'm going to start a diary too.
My plan is to return to the gym at least 3 times a week, and participate in cardio classes. I have also started walking 1/2 hour per day.

As for my eating strategy, I will make whole, natural foods the majority of my daily intake. I'm giving myself a cheat day every 2 weeks.

This will most likely be modified as my weight loss continues and I learn more here on the forum.
