Hi everyone!
I'm 18 and a student. I have been overweight most of my life and I am finally going to do something about it.
I'm going to attempt to ditch the junk food and start excercising.
Tomorrow is day 1!

I joined here in hope that I can talk to people in similar situations and share success'(hopefully) and idea's or whatever.

Looking forward to chatting to you all!

Hey there, I'm in the same boat as you. Overweight all my life and looking to change it up.

I wish you good luck in losing your weight. Don't give everything up suddenly if you're looking for long term weight loss. If you spread your changes through a week or two then you will ease into your diet/exercise regime better and lessen your chance of relapsing. I learned that people see more success from doing a lot of small changes over time instead of a few big changes right away.

Again, good luck.

Small changes....good point prodigy88.

That what i am trying to do. I focus on the short term, and when I look ahead, the goal seems closer and closer.

Also because I just started recently....I haven't just been measuring calories or weight or inches.....I have been measuring my mood...my stamina....my soreness afterworking out etc. I feel happier with the little gains I have made. Its pretty cool.

So yes...small changes. :hurray:

Congrats! Its a life change for the better.

Both give good points. You will have a lot of support, let us know your progress. :)
