Hello all!
My name is Liz and I'm new here. I'm 32 and looking to make a complete overhaul of my lifestyle. I have tried several "diets" in the past and they all work fabulous for me, until I got bored or tired of doing the exact thing the diet called for. So, I will be embarking on this change without relying on a specific "diet", "workout" regime. I can't wait to explore this forum and acquire some weight loss buddies that will be able to offer support I may not find elsewhere.

Good luck to everyone battling the bulge!!!

Hi my name is Amanda, Im 23yrs old. Have been overwieght for as long as I can remeber. One of the biggest struggles I have is that I give up quickly if I dont see results right away. I know that its not the thing to do but I dont know how to continue to push myself without seeing any results. Family isnt really any help oddly enough they are pretty fit. Which just makes me feel worse about myself.

I'm 23 as well (my birthday is right around the corner). And in the 190s at 5'4''. I agree that it is difficult to want to improve yourself when you're not seeing any noticeable change right away. You just have to get into that determined state of mind and push yourself even when you're discouraged. Hopefully you'll find an extra push/motivation by joining this forum. Welcome :)

Hey Liz. I've never been one to diet and the thought of counting calories has always been distasteful to me. I suggest using Fitbit's website/app if you're going to go the calorie-counting route. I've still been able to eat ribeye steak (I'll be eating lobster tail tonight) but in smaller quantities. That sort of variety in meals keeps me on the path of counting calories.
