Hi, Im toying with the idea of getting a polar RS100 HRM, Firstly is this a good choice, and secondly, I not only want to use it for Training but but i also want to wear it at work as my job is quite an active one, So would be interested to see what calories i burn off in work, Is this type of device suitable for this? Any comments Appreciated.

Thanks

I have a polar HRM, can't remember which one. The battery is rated to last up to 2 yrs at 1 hr use per day so I wouldn't recommend it's use at work (meaning all day)

Very useful little device though. I don't find the watch useful and only use the band so I can keep an eye on my HR when doing cardio work because it interacts with the equipment at me Anytime Fitness.

i dont suggest you wear it the whole day:
1) waste of bats
2) does not exactly look good
3) good luck explaining when u get asked the time :p

i find it as amazing motivation 2 wear it during my body attack classes ....haha nothing feel better than a 900 on the monitor after an hour of exersize!! then I log it onto my iphone...and it -900 from the total!! feels great :p

For the use at work, I've heard really good things about the GoWearFit/BodyMediaFit. I don't have one myself though. I keep eying them at CostCo when I see them... They do have a monthly subscription fee and they're not cheap though. (Although I hear you can get them for a lot less on E-Bay after people have gotten their use out of them)
