Hey,

Not personally, but my girlfriend did..seems to have settled down alot now though..was quite worrying at first!!!

Diet and excersie apparantly reduces palpitations, so seems strange that it can sometimes increase them at first!

The Human body is a weird and wonderfull thing :D

That might be something you want your doctor to look at. Probably nothing but better to be safe than sorry.

I personally had a problem with that when I first started dieting. It got to the point where I was getting concerned, then suddenly settled down. It did take about a month to normalize. I probably should have consulted a doctor, but that's always the last thing I think of...

@Naha: Just make sure you're not pushing yourself too hard, too fast on the exercise before your body is physically capable of handling it. Don't want to give yourself a heart attack.

I have not had this problem personally, but I did get a very high heartbeat at first when I began exercising, and felt faint at times. Once you become accustomed to the new levels of activity, it should taper off. Take it nice and easy is my advice.

A frog in a ti...eh...

Anyway, I started seriously working out last Monday. I weighed 277 lbs when I started and, as of last weeked, I was down to 271. I know that's only 6 lbs, but I did notice that my heart rate changed in that short amount of time. Why? Because, my body isn't hauling around that extra 6 lbs anymore, so my heart doesn't have to work AS hard.

It's not abnormal for your heart to beat with different variances during your initial weight loss. But, if it truly feels like it's not "right", then go to the doctor.
