i posted this in weight loss forum but no one replied... am i posting in the wrong place? i just wanted some advice to see if doing things right...
I have been going to the gym now for a month, I used to play lots of sports and go gym and I was very toned. I am slowly getting toned again but it is slowly! I was going to the gym prior to this but only once or twice a week.
This is my weekly routine:
Monday morning gym - half hour weights - legs and upper body 3 sets of 12 on various machines and half hour cardio
Tuesday evening - swimming
Wednesday morning gym - half hour weights - legs and upper body 3 sets of 12 on various machines and half hour cardio
Thursday - Rest
Friday morning gym - half hour weights - legs and upper body 3 sets of 12 on various machines and half hour cardio
Saturday - gym but sometimes spend a couple hours in there
Sunday - rest but thinking of swimming here also
I eat very healthily - porridge for breakfast 3 pieces of fruit spread out, a salad n ham wrap for lunch and a ogurt then a good meal in the evening with vegetables or brown rice/ pasta
Am I doing enough? If so how long should it take to see results? I got on the scales last week and had gained a pound :s im guessing that is muscle though.
I have also switched to doing weights before cardio to see if this will help
Oh and i way 9 stone 13 and im 5 foot 5 so im not huge just have some excess body fat and really want the muscle to start showing instead
