ok so i've been trying to lose weight since i noticed it had climbed up higher than it has ever been. I go to the gym insaine amounts (1-2 hours a day) and incorporate strength training and cardio work outs. The eating is the issue. I try really hard to eat healthy through out the day but i find it really hard to resist cravings and tend to binge 2 or 3 times a week. anyone have any suggestings on crontroling the cravings and not binge. I'd also like a buddy to chat w/ about how i'm feeling through out the day if anyone is interested

I think the best way to avoid the binges is to not deny yourself completely and make sure you are getting enough calories from day to day. Very few people have the willpower to (or should) drop down to 1200 calories a day and cut out all sweets, all your favorite foods, cold turkey. Especially if you are working out "insane" amounts. Your body needs fuel. So, make sure you are getting enough calories. I'm sure someone can point you to a website that will tell you your BMR. If you crave chocolate, buy expensive, high quality chocolate and have a tiny square every day. I do. If it's potato chips you crave, buy a small bag, portion it out into indivdual servings and have one serving, every day. If the binges are caused by you being really, REALLY hungry, you need to eat more. Get more calories from healthy foods. I hope this helps. Good luck!

If you spend a lot of time in the gym, you may be building up muscles which are heavier than fat. Try spending time walking, it will burn up the fat.
