Has anyone else tried Alli?

I'm probably going to try it just to give myself a push. I am good at maintaining weight, just horrible at getting it off. I only gained so much weight because of my first pregnancy, and then severe depression due to my mom dying. I know that I could use something like Alli to get it off, and then stop taking it once I am near my goal.
I don't think this is for people who have an eating disorder. It would just put sparkly goodness over the real problem of not eating correctly in the first place.

I realize this is the internets etc. so its not like anyone is really gonna convince anyone otherwise but... but... but... if you actually had a severe depression and not just "was really sad" then I would urge you to stay in touch with the doctor that treated your depression and stay on the lookout for signs of it returning. On its own depression tend to return and with the extremely low amount of fatty acids you'll get on alli the risk of it returning might increase.

Other than that, if you're going for it I wish you the best of results :)

My mother passed away almost 6 years ago, the day after my birthday. I was super depressed, but I got better. I was diagnosed with manic depression when I was 18(10 years ago), but I think the guy didn't know what he was talking about. I am currently on an anti-depressant, that just helps my anxiety.

I tired it, I stopped taking it because I wanted to lose weight on my own. They helped me lose 3 pounds, but that was because I was dieting and exercising like I was supposed to.

I never had any problems with the "side effects" or whatever they call them haha.

But, I LOVE the online tools you get when you buy the whole program. They give you meal guides and thing to help you know how much fat you have had and carbs, calories, fiber etc and allowed you to build meal plans for your taste. I totally recommend the online aspect because it ensured a healthy, and tasty, diet to go with the program.

My friend did the Alli program before her wedding last year and she said it was a waste of time and money. She was really frustrated because she stuck to the program and did every single thing by the book, but still struggled to lose more than a pound a week. When my weight loss hit a brick wall about 6 weeks ago I was going to try Alli, but I remembered the issues my girlfriend had and I opted to try Hydroxycut Advanced. I also upped my calorie intake and changed up my workouts to more difficult, longer sessions. I started dropping weight at 3-4lbs a week. For me, it was a good decision.

I have tried it! I have heard a lot of horror stories about people getting yellow "leakage", but have only had this happen once, and I have been taking it for three months. It was when I went to a barbecue and kinda went off plan and ate a hotdog and a turkey burger (I was only going to have the turkey burger, but my nieces absolutely refused to eat the hot dog and I didn't want it to go to waste...) It wasn't really that bad. I also had some other foods which weren't exactly in my plan. So if you eat healthy and keep in your fat/calorie range you shouldn't have any problems... at least, that's my experience.

I've lost 23 lbs in 3 months. I hope this is all the information that you needed. If you wanted more information, I could give it to you!

WillLose60

im planning on getting but i have some questions if you could answered them for me : were you doing exercises ? because i'm on a diet/exercise but im only loosing 2 pounds per week so i was wondering if with alli i could maybe get that up to 4 pounds/week
thanks :)

Alli promises that you lose 50% more weight with diet and exercise than you would without it. So, if w/o Alli you lose 10lbs... with it you would have lost 15lbs. That's their claim. It will be different for everyone.

I've tried Alli before my weight loss journey. I didn't change my eating habits what so ever and didn't exercise. I had the "treatment effects" obviously since I didn't stop eating junk. I do not take Alli anymore.I prefer to learn on my own how food affects my body and make better choices after noticing mistakes.

While I took it I didn't lose weight but I didn't gain weight.

My friend tried this and her butt leaked. On a night out. Wearing a skirt. Traumatised even the less squeamish of us.

And this is why Alli is probably not as successful as it might otherwise be ;)

I think a tapeworm might be preferable to having to hear about the leakage!
